My To Be Read List
I am in the middle of the next book of my series right now, so instead of a typical book review I’ll show you my current to be read (TBR) list
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
I already read Once Upon a Broken Heart and I loved it! Caraval is supposed to give a backstory to the characters of Once Upon a Broken heart so I am disappointed that I wasn’t aware of this and read Once Upon a Broker Heart before reading Caraval. Either way, I’ve heard this book is a great fantasy book and I can’t wait to dive back into the Once Upon a Broken heart world!
Better than the movies by Lynn Painter
One of my friends is currently reading this book and is really enjoying it. I have also heard many good things online. Although it seems to be a fluffy romance with no true thoughtfulness, sometimes that can be very enjoyable. I have read Betting on You by the same author, which I liked a lot!
Verity Colleen Hoover
My sister read this book and LOVED it. It is a thriller / romance, which is very interesting. Although Colleen Hoover is hated on quite a bit by other readers, I disagree. I have read a few of her other books and enjoyed them despite the grievances her audience has. I have also heard this is one of her better books, which makes me even more intrigued.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
This is by the same author as A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR), which is one of my favorite books ever. ACOTAR is the perfect mix of fluffy romance, interesting fantasy elements, and thought provoking questions. I am so sad I read all of ACOTAR so I’m hoping this series is similar and I can find myself in a similar fantasy world. The series is 8 books long, which is a little scary. However, I love series because I can become an expert in the world the series is about and get completely lost in it.
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but most of these books are fluffy fantasy / romance books, so hopefully we can mix that up a bit with Lord of the Flies. Last year during the banned book project, Lord of the Flies was my second choice (after Fahrenheit 451). I have been itching to read it since that project but I haven’t found the time or motivation to give this book the thought it deserves yet.
Hopefully my list inspires you to check out a few of these books. If you have already read any of these let me know if the book is worth the time. Thanks for reading!
